SFIA Service Levels

When people take out an Investment, Pension or Life Insurance policy they sometimes assume it is the end of the process.

We at SFIA believe it is only the beginning!

We understand that our clients take future financial plans seriously which is why we provide an ongoing service designed to suit the needs and financial aims. Our adviser will discuss the points made here and explain how it will benefit you.

Our Advice Process

  • Analysis of needs (normally an initial meeting);
  • Research to shortlist the most suitable advice, products and services from the whole market place
  • Production of a recommendation;
  • Further consultation and decision making;
  • Completion of paper work and necessary administration;
  • Ensuring paperwork is administered correctly by third party (e.g. insurance company);
  • Written confirmation of your actions and advising you of progress;
  • Auditing and storage of your file
  • Review of your situation and the continuing suitability of our advice

We offer 2 levels of advice and 3 service levels:

Limited Advice

This is only suitable for clients who need advice in a particular area or corporate clients who want specific advice on employer sponsored arrangements. Limited Advice could adversely affect other financial areas as it may not take into account all your current circumstances; this is why, in most cases, we would recommend the Full Advice process.

Full Advice

This service is one where we take account of your financial position and attitudes, your aspirations and goals for the future. After an initial discussion a comprehensive fact-find is completed and then followed up with a report and finally a full suitability document where we detail our recommendations.

Our 3 service levels:

Primary Financial Care

Designed to provide a basic structure and used by clients whose overall financial situation is not too complicated, e.g. a mortgage together with life insurance to protect it. The benefits of this ongoing review will help to keep products suitable and competitive.

Secondary Financial Care

Most clients select this category. We will have advised on school fees and/or recommended a combination of investment, insurance and tax planning solutions.

Annual updates and reviews ensure that plans take account of e.g. changes in life and the rate of school fees increase each year or changes in fiscal policy.

Whilst providing a similar structure to the Primary Financial Care there is added certainty.

Comprehensive Financial Care

Our top service level does exactly that by providing "Comprehensive" financial care, designed to cater for clients that want full and frequent reviews.

This service is particularly suited for large or sophisticated portfolios and/or complex tax planning requirements.

SFIA Client Services

As our recommendations are mainly designed to run for a number of years, as many as 40 in some cases, it's very important to factor in ongoing reviews to ensure they achieve their purpose, by dealing with any changes in personal circumstances, legislation, taxation or the nature of investments and policies in a timely fashion.
